Design Your Own Kitchen

Have you ever considered designing your own kitchen? It is not that hard to do when you have some simple rules to follow and you could save yourself a fortune in the process. Along with saving a fortune, you could also add thousands to the value of your home when you have a beautiful, modern kitchen.

'Design your own kitchen' is a manual created by myself after gaining experience of designing over 8,000 kitchens. After designing this many kitchens, you get to know a few things about the process which I have now written down to make available to kitchen design virgins.

You do not need any previous experience of designing or fitting kitchens to be able to make use of this manual and create your own beautiful new kitchen. I will take you step-by-step through the process and show you different standard layouts which can be used as starting points.

If you have recently bought a new house you may have thought that a new kitchen was outside your budget - think again. To buy a new kitchen does not have to involve top designers, imported Italian cabinets and solid granite worktops. A new kitchen can easily be designed on a budget and still look great.

Anyone considering selling their house should definitely look at having a new kitchen fitted if the existing one is badly designed and out dated. A new kitchen will go a long way to freshening up the house. A beautiful kitchen will increase the chances of a sale and will also add to the value of the house.

For those who do have a huge budget, you will still need to design a kitchen which will 'work' for you. Nobody would want to spend a fortune only to find afterwards that they should have positioned the cooker on a different wall. Spending a little time and money before fitting a kitchen will pay dividends further down the line.

Property developers should have a good grounding in kitchen design as it is one of the main rooms which will 'sell' the house to prospective purchasers. Quickly fitting a kitchen without any thought to the layout would definitely put off a large part of the property developer's customers.

Make the most of your kitchen without breaking the bank. You will be able to impress family and friends with a kitchen that you designed yourself and they do not need to know that you did it on a budget.
